Honda presented its Project 2 & 4 at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show, which is quite a particular vehicle.

Undoubtedly, the most interesting piece of this concept comes from its inspiration, the legendary Formula 1 car named Honda’s RA272 model 1965, this is a combined sensation of driving a motorcycle because it has no roof, with a car. In order to reach production, this Project Concept 2 & 4 would need to become a direct rival toys like the Ariel Atom, the Vuhl 05 or KTM X-Bow.

Moving this vehicle we have the Honda RC213V motorcycle engine that is currently competing in MotoGP, but some modifications to the four-cylinder 1.0-liter V deliver an output of over 215 hp at 13,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 87 pounds-feet at 10,500 rpm. The small but effective block is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission with double clutch (DCT, Dual Clutch Transmission).

While a power exceeding 200 hp is not very interesting when we talk of a common vehicle that is around 1,300 kilograms, when used in a compact car-length of 3,040 mm, width of 1,820 mm and height of 995 mm and extremely lightweight 405 kilos as it is the case in the Honda Project 2 & 4, then we are talking about explosive acceleration capability.

It is noteworthy that this powerful vehicle is the winner of an internal competition held by Honda global design in which more than 80 designers and creative teams participated.
